I am already listening closely to the net and airwaves for the hotties and the notties so that I can get something fun and fresh posted for PRIDE '08.

I guess I should celebrate a little. I was reviewing some statistics and demographics, and if I am correct, by my count, I have listeners and subscribers in over 55 countries.

That is so cool! That means there is probably a very good chance someone out there probably does not even understand a single word I type!!

Well, I hope everyone enjoys the music. That is what this site is about. I want to of course encourage all the subscribers to purchase the original music of all the artists I support here. It is very important that we all pay our 99 cents per track when the tracks are released. All the 80's songs and usually the other non-80's songs I mix are available via I-Tunes or Amazon.

Where do I get the nifty dance music? Well, about 30% does come from I-Tunes, but usually I get most of it from promos. I also get many dj mixes from Borderline Music in Chicago. Scott from Borderline is the greatest and usually has anything or can get anything I ask for. Visit him today, and you will see what I mean:

Dolly Parton...the sweetheart of bluegrass!

One of the most unique acts in pop and country music, one of the most accomplished songwriters ever, and definitely one of the most distinctive voices ever in the music industry. You'ld probably be suprised with a lot of the songs she has written, made popular by other artists. Well, she is out with a new album, and fresh off mentoring on American Idol!

My friend Kris M. has made several requests for pumped up country songs, and when she e-mailed me to check this one out, well, I could not resist!!!

This song is a cover of the 1990 tune "She Drives Me Crazy" from the Fine Young Canibals.

The weather is finally starting to rebound here in Chicago, and it got me to thinking about what I was listening to last year at this time. So, you're getting a special re-post of last years Spring Mix!

Fleetwood Mac is one of the greatest rock bands of all time, with one of the top selling rock albums ever, "Rumours". This cut was off one of their more distinctly pop-rock records of the 80's, "Mirage". Many of their 70's cuts eclipse the work Mac did in the 80's, but this song is a standout with its classic ringing loops, catching melody and that distinctive Nicks rasp.

This mix has been sitting on cue for a while. I was motivated to pull it back out so I could post something consistent with last weeks post from Heart. I actually was working on this mix prior to the last Stevie Nicks number I did, "Gold Dust Woman". And I am also happy to say this fulfills a request from well over a year ago. So this is a bit of a work of closure for me in many respects.

More requests are coming, and I appreciate the listeners who are being patient.

A little classic rock remixed.

One of my favorite girl-bands from the eighties - well, also from the seventies, had a about a dozeen chewy tunes throughout those decades. Many are now forever entombed in nostalgia...like Alone, What About Love, and of course All I Wanna Do (Is Make Love To You).

Of course, all those tracks were from the 80's and early 90's. But, they rocked back in the 70's, and I mean old school, classic rock. You might remember "Baracuda". CLASSIC!

I heard a confusingly perfect rendition of "Crazy On You" at karaoke a few weeks ago and have not been able to get it out of my head since. So, what better to do then to give it some beats. A little bit of tribal, a little bit of contempo mixed.

There is nothing wrong with an early start! Lots of good music out there right now, and enough cold weather here in Chicago to make me want to rebel a little. I will release my PRIDE MIX 2008, sometime in May, so stay tuned for that as well!

ATTENTION KRIS MCPEAK...this one is for you babe.

YOU MUST BUY "Detours" by Sheryl Crow. ROCKTABULOUS!!!!

The latest disc from Sheryl Crow, "Detours", is a friggin' masterpiece! This is one of the chewier tracks that I just had to do something with to make it more club palatable. I'm sure it will be a big single, but if you like Crow at all, you will love the whole album.

I also like this song because of the political message...follow the lyrics close and you will understand the relevance to just about everything we hear these days. Particularly with the disaster Bush has been to our country and the likely irrepairable atrocity committed to the American image and credibility around the world. It is time for change folks!

As always, I have embraced the original...no over done electronica. Though I am sure we will hear remixes of this track when it is released.
